My good friend and fellow Toller Breeder, Dee Nichols used Apache at stud and had a huge litter. Dee had a pup left over and asked if I would be interested in her. Thus the arrival of Apache’s daughter Turquoise. Sadly Turquoise’s conformation and performance career never really got off the ground. At that time we were living down in the Rio Grande Valley, So FAR from Any kind dog event. When we finally got up to Sulphur Springs, Turquoise was mature and I showed her a few times and did Great in All the events she was entered in winning winner’s bitch every time. Turquoise has wonderful, Sound Structure, and run’s like the wind! She gained her CD and RN in one weekend. She also passed the WC, and 3 JH legs. Then tragedy struck. My husband Don became sick from Agent Orange, and slowly he began to decline. Thus I went back to the profession that I had done for my working career full time: Aviation Maintenance to ensure we had the best medical coverage and income Don required. It became clear that I would not be able to train retrievers professionally due to time constraints thus I never developed the cliental I had hoped. Finally a couple of years latter, Don’s VA benefits came though.

Turquoise was bred twice, both to Sue Dorscheid bred males. I kept Checotah from her first litter sired by Palmer, and Jazz from RJ. Turquoise whelped her second litter she at 10 years old. Just like her sire Apache, you would Never guess that she is older. And because she was in excellent health I decided to breed her with the consent of two very well-known Theriogenologists.

Because of her age, at this point I want to complete her JH and retire her as a full time house dog. Turquoise has a wonderful, sweet, and active temperment.
